#5 - My instacamper kit - VIDEO

Welcome back!

After motorhomes, campervans, the simplest camping in a van, and an overview of camping kits on the market it's now time to check what I have come up with myself.

So let's get to it, shall we?

What do we need?

As I mentioned in my previous post, none of the offerings on the market of removable campervan kits didn't convince me enough to buy it. Or at least they didn't tick all the boxes for my family needs.

So I made a list of important / needed aspects of a kit that we could use. I imagined my campervan setup with features:

- seating for 5 (with seat belts),

- plenty of room in the middle of the van (so with middle row of seats out),

- kitchen unit that I can remove and use it outside of the van (or leave it at home),

- option of a water system (when we need it - also in the removable kitchen unit),

- enough extra storage space for table, chairs, coolbox, bicycle helmets, inflatable pools, kick scooters (yes, I have kids),

- easy and quick to put the kit in the van (and out again),

- using it (making up the bed, using the kitchen, accessing storage spaces...) should be as easy as it gets (and without any required tools).

Let's make this!

And I decided to have a go on designing and making my own kit. It was a real pleasure just to think about it. But first there was A LOT of measuring, drawing, thinking, daydreaming :) to be done. When I was satisfied with the idea (and I had all the measures and I decided on the materials), there were trips to hardware stores.

Then the building began. I thought I would spend a couple of days building and assembling the kit. But when I was building it, I had some additional ideas (that seemed worthwhile incorporating), and the whole process took A LOT longer - more than 2 weeks just for the finishing part (cabinet doors, water system, paint...). That was done in the evenings mainly, after my job was finished, kids went to sleep - you know how it goes :)). Making cabinets and the bed platform took around the same, but few months before that (and after making them, we used cabinets and bed in a raw state as a test on a vacation trip to Balaton).

And I am pleased with how it turned out. It offers things that I imagined when designing it. The only downside: we don't use it as often as I would like. :)

Friends and colleagues have been asking how it works, how it's made, how does it look like. So I decided to make a video presentation of my setup and how to use it.

Do you like / dislike it? Did you make something similar to my kit? What would you change? Let me know in the comments below.

God bless you all and take care!

  1. The exception appears to be roulette games, with solely 10 variants on the site. Apart from the desk games and stay on line casino, there are also hundreds of slots and jackpots in case you want a break from the 점보카지노 roulette wheel. Playing any of the games, together with slots and desk games, works very well, and variety of the} slot machines are made exclusively for the cell on line casino.
